It Is Popcorn Season

on September 4, 2014 in Fundraiser

cmcupopcornIt is the season for Boy Scouts and Cub Scouts across central Minnesota to be out knocking on doors to sell popcorn! I already have my 30 pack case of microwave popcorn ordered. How about you? Or do you need a Boy Scout to stop by your house so that you can place an order?

The local credit union is helping spread the word by posting a note on the marque. There should be a lot of people who see this since the business is located right on Main Street in Melrose. The troop would like to thank them for their help in this fundraiser.

Hello, I spook with a Tasha last week who transferred me to a Michael who is in charge of the Boy Scouts in the Brooklyn Park area. I asked Michael to call me back and I have not received a return call.

I live in Columbia Heights and a boy and his father came selling pretzels and other holiday items on September 24th, 2014. He said he lived with his son a couple of blocks from me and his son, who was dressed in a boy scout uniform, lived in and attended boy scouts in Brooklyn Park. On the date mentioned above, I purchased $20.00 worth of items, one of them being pretzels. He said they would be delivered sometime in November. I have not received any items from him and on December 16th, 2014, my check was posted to my account. My check was deposited at Northeast bank and the signature on the back says “Pack 66” and it is signed by a William Lynch”. I am not positive of the last name as it is scribbled on the back of the check. I need to find out if there is indeed a Pack 66 and if there are holiday sales being delivered or if I was the victim of fraud. Please call me back as soon as possible. If there is anything you need from me, please let me know. My telephone number is 763-438-8930.
