 Melrose Boy Scout Troop 68
Eagle Scout Hall Of Fame

The Eagle Scout is the highest rank attainable by a Boy Scout in America. The road which leads toward this rank is long and hard. There may be road blocks and obstacles that try to halt the completion of the rank. Time may run short. But the those who possess strong will and desire will complete the journey and prove they are worthy of the Eagle Rank.
Melrose Troop 68 has several Scouts who have earned this distinction. This page is dedicated to one of them, his accomplishments, and to all Eagle Scouts from across the country.

Eagle Scout Tom Hanson

Tom Hanson became a Boy Scout when he graduated into the troop from his Webelos Den in April, 1990. He regularly attended weekend camps and summer camps. In 1992 he attended Philmont Scout Ranch in New Mexico. He also participated in a trip to the High Knoll Trail in Virginia in 1995. He was a member of the Order of the Arrow.
Tom earned his Eagle Rank on September 16, 1992. His Eagle Court of Honor was held on May 2, 1993, at the Melrose City Center meeting rooms. Tom is the troop's fourth Eagle Scout. He was the troop's youngest scout to earn the Eagle Rank, being only 14 years old.
Tom was active in high school in other activities. He participated in several plays, and was on the school's tennis team.
