Winter Camp
January 27-29
Nine members of the troop spent the weekend at Parker Scout Reservation
for a good time during the Minnesota winter. They played some games,
both
indoors and outdoors, worked on advancement, and even did a service
project
for the camp by shoveling snow off a few of the buildings. Yes, we
stayed
in a building (45 degrees inside) instead of camping outdoors.
Primitive Weekend at Camp
Watchamagumee
April 21-23
Leave the tents at home and make your own shelter from what you find
in the woods. That was the theme of this weekend. And as you can see,
some
of the guys did a fine job of building shelters.
The first picture shows the scouts hanging the new Camp Watchamagumee
sign.
Summer Camp at Crow Wing Scout
Camp
July 7-15
Once again the Scouts from Melrose attended summer camp. Once again
they earned merit badges, cooked their meals, shot on the rifle range,
went to the Order of the Arrow call-out seremony, and all the other
stuff
you can do at camp.
