\"carly-rae-jepsen-call-me-maybe\"<\/a>I admit it. Once in awhile I get bored. And when I do strange things sometime happen. Like the other week for example.<\/p>\n

I was listening to the\u00a0Carly Rae Jepsen song, Call Me Maybe<\/strong>, when other words started popping into my head. For some reason I saw a Boy Scout at summer camp walking up to his merit badge councilor, hand him his blue card and ask, “But here’s my blue card, so sign it maybe?”<\/p>\n

Hmmm. Could this be the start of a campfire song? I soon had pencil and paper out and was writing down words for a new version of the song. A couple lyrics gave me a spot of trouble, but I think I have it. Here is what I came up with:<\/p>\n

Scoutmaster gave me a list,
\nMerit badges with a twist
\nMy hand turned into a fist,
\nNervousness in my way<\/p>\n

Summer camp is coming soon,
\nPacked my clothes, shoes, food, and a broom
\nWhat is this feeling of doom?
\nNervousness in my way<\/p>\n

\nMy head, eyes are rolling
\nHot night, wind was blowin’
\nWhere do I think I\u2019m going, baby?<\/p>\n

Hey, I just met you,
\nAnd this is crazy,
\nBut here’s my Blue Card,
\nSo sign it, maybe!
\nIt’s hard to earn one
\nWhen you are lazy,
\nBut here’s my Blue Card,
\nSo sign it, maybe!<\/p>\n

\nBut still, you’re my councilor
\nI beg, and borrow and steal
\nMy need for this badge is real
\nI didn’t know I would feel,
\nLike it\u2019s some Indian Lore<\/p>\n
